Twelve acres of pine wood, and nobody in a hurry.
Hollow Pine sits at the end of a quiet lane above Hawkshead, between Windermere and Coniston. We built eight lodges among the trees, far enough apart that the only neighbours you will notice are the red squirrels.
Arrive to the wood burner already laid, a loaf from the village bakery and milk in the fridge. Then the plan is yours: a long walk, a long soak, or nothing at all.
- Private hot tub on every lodge deck, filled fresh for each stay
- Wood burner with logs and kindling from our own woodland
- Dogs welcome in six of our eight lodges, with a fenced garden
- EV charging, fast wifi and a drying room for muddy boots

Find your lodge.
Four styles, from a snug hideaway for two to a three bedroom lodge for the whole family and the dog.
The best seat in the wood is 38 degrees.
Every lodge has its own wood clad hot tub on a private deck, with nothing overhead but pine branches and, on a clear night, more stars than you knew were there.
- Drained, cleaned and refilled before every arrival
- Fluffy robes and towels in every lodge
- Low light only, so the Milky Way does the rest
Bring the dog. They will love it here.
Six lodges welcome up to two dogs. You will find a bed, bowls, a towel for muddy paws and a jar of treats from the farm shop.
Each dog friendly lodge has a fenced garden, and the woodland trail starts at the end of the lane. Dogs stay for £25 per dog, per stay.

Guests say it best.
A few words left in our lodge guest books this year.
We lit the wood burner, ran the hot tub and didn't move for three days. Exactly what we came for.
Our spaniel had the best week of her life. Walks straight from the door and a towel waiting when we got back.
Spotless, quiet and properly warm. The kids still talk about the red squirrel on the deck.
