Draft for review by a data protection solicitor before launch. Last updated 24 October 2026.
Who we are
The TFY Apps website is run by TFYDJC Ltd, trading as TFY Apps, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17532068, registered office 198 West End Lane, London NW6 1SG. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us about privacy at info@tfyapps.com.
What we collect, why, the legal basis and how long we keep it
| What | Why | Legal basis | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enquiry form: name, email, company, optional phone, what you need, budget, timeline, your message | To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote | Legitimate interests (answering a business enquiry), or steps before a contract | 24 months after our last contact, unless we go on to work together |
| Email address and, if you give them, your name and company, with the date, time and wording of your opt-in | To send you occasional news and offers you asked for; to build hashed audiences for our adverts | Consent (the opt-in box) | Until you unsubscribe; then only a note of the address and date so we do not email you again |
| Cookieless visit statistics (page, referring site, browser type, country) | To see which pages are useful | Legitimate interests; no cookies or device storage are used | Aggregated counts kept for 26 months |
| Analytics: pages viewed, events such as sign-ups, a random browser ID, device and browser type | To understand how the product is used and improve it | Consent (analytics cookies) | 26 months in TFY HQ; 14 months in Google Analytics |
| Advertising: which advert you came from, events such as sign-ups or purchases, cookie IDs set by Google, Meta or LinkedIn | To measure our adverts and show them to people likely to be interested | Consent (advertising cookies) | As set by each advertising provider; see our cookie policy |
| Your cookie choice | To remember what you chose | Legal obligation (to record consent) and legitimate interests | 180 days, then we ask again |
Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails if you tick the box that asks for them. It is never ticked for you and it is separate from accepting any terms. We keep the date and time you opted in and the exact wording you agreed to. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us. After you unsubscribe we keep only a note of the address and date, so we never email you again by mistake. We may upload a scrambled (SHA-256 hashed) copy of the email addresses of people who opted in to Meta and Google so our adverts can reach them or people like them; you can object to this at any time by unsubscribing.
Statistics and advertising
- Cookieless statistics (Plausible compatible) count visits without cookies or device storage, so they run without asking.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4, our own statistics with a random browser ID. Only if you accept analytics.
- Advertising: Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag. Only if you accept advertising.
You can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of the page. Meta, Google and LinkedIn may also use the data they receive for their own purposes, for which they are responsible under their own privacy policies.
