Rainbow Promise privacy policy

Rainbow Promise is a collection of Old Testament stories and matching games for young children. We built it so that it does not collect, store or share any information about the people who use it. There are no adverts, no tracking, no accounts and no in-app purchases, and it works without the internet.

Who we are

Rainbow Promise is made by TFY Apps, the trading name of TFYDJC Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17532068, registered office 198 West End Lane, London NW6 1SG. We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact us about privacy at info@tfyapps.com.

What stays on your device

The app remembers a few small things on the device itself: whether music and narration are on, which stickers have been earned, and the stars won in the Animal Match game. These never leave the device and are removed when the app is deleted.

The app does not ask for names, email addresses, photos, location, contacts or any other personal information, and it has no accounts or sign in. It has no analytics or crash reporting software, no links out of the app and no social media features, and it does not connect to any server.

Buying the app

Rainbow Promise is paid for once when you download it, through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google take the payment and handle your details under their own privacy policies; we never receive your card details, name or email address. There are no in-app purchases.

Our website and server

The app never contacts our server. Our server only hears from you if you open one of our web pages (such as this policy or the support page). Like any web server, it records the internet address of the device, the time, the page requested and the browser type, so we can keep the service secure and working, which is in our legitimate interest. These logs are deleted after 14 days. The Rainbow Promise pages on our website set no cookies, load no analytics and load nothing from other websites.

Our server is hosted by Amazon Web Services in its Stockholm data centre in Sweden, as our service provider. Sweden is covered by the UK's adequacy regulations, so no other safeguards are needed.

If you email us

If you email us, we use your email address and message to reply and to help you, which is in our legitimate interest and yours. We delete the conversation once it is no longer needed.

Who we share information with

Nobody, apart from Amazon Web Services, which runs our server for us, and Apple or Google for your purchase. We never sell information and never share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Children

Rainbow Promise is made for young children, and we designed it to follow the UK Age Appropriate Design Code (the Children's Code), with high privacy by default, no profiling, no adverts, no purchases inside the app, no links out and no chat. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. If you are a parent or carer and think your child has emailed us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or stop using it. From the app itself we hold nothing about you; if you have emailed us, we hold that email. Contact info@tfyapps.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top, and if a change affects what the app does with information we will update this page before that version of the app is released.
