Nightlight Baby privacy policy
Nightlight Baby is a baby feed, nappy and sleep tracker for parents and carers. Everything you log about your baby stays on your own device. There are no accounts, no adverts and no tracking.
The Nightlight Baby phone app is not released yet. This policy describes the version you can use in your browser today. We will update this page before the phone app is submitted to the App Store or Google Play.
Who we are
Nightlight Baby is made by TFY Apps, the trading name of TFYDJC Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17532068, registered office 198 West End Lane, London NW6 1SG. We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact us about privacy at info@tfyapps.com.
What stays on your device
Everything you log (your baby's name and date of birth, feeds, sleep, nappies, medicines, growth and notes) and your settings are saved only in your browser's storage on your device. We never receive them, and nobody else does either. Using Delete all data in Nightlight Baby, or clearing your browser's data for our website, removes them. If you copy a handover note, it goes to your device's clipboard and you decide where to paste it.
Nightlight Baby does not use the camera, microphone, contacts or your location.
Fonts from Google
To show its typefaces, the Nightlight Baby page loads fonts from Google Fonts, a service of Google. When it does, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your internet address and browser details, as with any website you visit. Google does not receive anything you log. Google may process this information outside the UK, including in the United States, under its own privacy policy and safeguards. We use this to make the page readable, which is in our legitimate interest.
No statistics, advertising or cookies
Nightlight Baby currently sends no statistics or usage information to us or anyone else, runs no analytics or advertising tools, and sets no cookies. If we ever switch on optional statistics or an email sign-up for news about the phone app, we will ask you first and update this policy before we do.
Our website and server
Our server only hears from you when you open the Nightlight Baby page or one of our other web pages (such as this policy or the support page). Like any web server, it records the internet address of the device, the time, the page requested and the browser type, so we can keep the service secure and working, which is in our legitimate interest. These logs are deleted after 14 days. They never include anything you log about your baby.
Our server is hosted by Amazon Web Services in its Stockholm data centre in Sweden, as our service provider. Sweden is covered by the UK's adequacy regulations.
If you email us
If you email us, we use your email address and message to reply and to help you, which is in our legitimate interest and yours. We delete the conversation once it is no longer needed.
Who we share information with
Only Amazon Web Services, which runs our server for us, and Google, which serves the fonts as described above. We never sell information and never share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Children
Nightlight Baby is for parents and carers aged 18 or over. Information you log about your baby stays on your device as described above.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or stop using it. We do not hold what you log; if you have emailed us, we hold that email. Contact info@tfyapps.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top.
